Schnepf Farms

Every year I drag my husband to Schnepf farms. I love the atmosphere and the kids love going to, but it is a wee bit expensive. This year we totally lucked out. It happened to be a training weekend or something and we were offered free admission and they would open up all the rides for us. They even refunded our tickets that said non refundable. It was seriously us and like 2 other families! Kimber's family came with us too which makes it much more fun. I did call about 2 weeks ago to find out if they were open that weekend and I was given a confimation that they were. So I didn't feel at all bad that we were freeloading it! They even let us ride the train for free and did the pig races for us!
Here we are riding the roller coaster back to back. Shorty bink Anders was finally tall enough to go and he wanted to sit all by himself.

In my opinion there is only one work to describe this ride, "Barf". I make Aaron go on these kind of rides with the kids.

This was the pig race announcer. He was so nice and fun to watch. Lilly finally won a pig nose!

This has nothing to do with Schnepf farms but the next day we went to the Coolidge Days parade. I came late and braved the parade with the kids alone but luckily found a nice spot next to my friend Natalie and her son. They did surprisingly well (of course catching candy is always a good incentive) and Ivy stayed right with us. I had to hold Ezra the entire time but I guess that is my life right now anyways so it wasn't that big of a deal.

I also ran the Coolige Days 5 K that morning. When I was running I kept looking at my watch and the time was really slow for me. I didn't feel that bad and thought my time would be better. Then when I crossed the finish the guy told me my time was 4 minutes faster than what my watch said. It was the time I normally get so I was so confused! Then driving home I realized I had forgot to reset my watch from my warmup and that is why I thought I was going so slow! It's funny how my time was really messing with my mind on the run. I should have just gone with how I felt.

I realize that I have never enjoyed running more that I do now. It is my escape and I feel so good afterwards! I am hoping to do the turkey trot on Thanksgiving. If anyone is interested it is on Thanksgiving day, a 10 K and it held in Mesa. Starts at 9am I think and is so much fun!

Oh yeah I forgot about that race. I am too lazy, but I will definitely be running the turkey trot with you...well I mean at the same time, I probably won't be with you. Schneps was so fun this year!
